Our programs require a high level of engagement from participants. It is a vast experience that a diverse group of participants brings to the classroom, under the leadership of a faculty that makes our programs unique. The sharing of experiences and exchange of views happen not only in the classroom but also during group work. As a student of GICE you will join a group designed to maximize diversity, along many dimensions: age, experience, previous education.
The Faculty will use these groups for class assignments and discussion, and your group will become a control focus point for your work on the majority of courses. The goal of faculty at GICE is to bring out the best in each of you so that you can learn from each other’sexperiences. Their objectives are to put all these experiences together and provide a framework that you take with you when you leave the class. Faculties are actively involved in research and challenge the classroom discussions with new ideas. There is no single preferred method at GICE. Faculties are free to choose the method they believe fits best with the content of the session. You will therefore, experience a wide variety of teaching styles, including case studies, computer simulations and road plays. What matters to GICE is not the method chosen but the result: the effectiveness of your learning experience!
